Daihakone Country Club

1246, Sengokuhara, Hakone-machi, Ashigarashimo-gun Kanagawa, 250-0631, Japan

Overview

The course acts as host to the CAT Ladies Golf Tournament for professional female golfers.

Spread out on the majestic Sengokuhara plain against the background of the broad mountains of the outer rim of Hakone Crater, the Daihakone Country Club offers 18 handmade holes landscaped with truly unique individuality.

A notable feature of the course is the hole No.17 known as the “Lotus flower”a very difficult hole surrounded by tricky bunkers.

Daihakone County Club measures an impressive 7289-yards from the back tees but has a par of 73 with 5 par 5s, 4 par 3s and 10 par 4s.

The course also enjoys double greens, which changes the layout somewhat depending on th greens in play.

Water hazards are scattered around the course, but in general don´t really add to the difficulty of the course.

The difficulty comes from the incredible bunker designs and positioning and it is no truer than on the 17th, a superb par 3 with picturesque bunkering that creates a Lotus flower effect.

An on-site hotel offers wonderful accommodation and the facilities of the clubhouse are of the highest quality.
