Jalan Damansara, Bukit Kiara, 60000 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Kelab Golf Perkhidmatan Awam Malaysia (KGPA) in Kuala Lumpur is a 27-hole layout not far from the city centre which is idea for golfer of all standards. Currently only 18 holes available for play.
The championship course consisting of the Hill & Lakes nines is a fairly classic par 72. The third nine (Forest), is undergoing a major renovation and unlikely to open until the middle of 2015
On arrival you are greeted by a huge and cavernous Roman-style clubhouse which frankly looks a bit run down and depressing. There is a good driving range and excellent practice facilities.
The opening hole on the hills nine starts from an elevated tee box with a drive downhill into the valley below and then its uphill all the way to the green and this is very typical of many of the holes on Kelab Golf Perkhidmatan Awam Malaysia.
The 4th is a short par-3 with water to one side which should not really come into play unless you are very wayward. This is followed by another short par 5 with another water hazard which you should be able to negotiate without too much problem. The 6th is another par 5 is rated the most difficult on the course with a tee shot across water with OB on the left and then you need to avoid the drains which skirt the fairway with your second and if you make the fairway you are then faced with an approach to a tiny green. The 8th is long downhill par-3 with bunkers on the right and slightly elevated green with run-off areas each side. This nine finishes with a superb par-5 with water in play off the tee but it does present a birdie opportunity if you can avoid the large fairway bunker.
The 11th is a very challenging par-3 with water all along the left side and in front of part of the green and trees that can block your path if you are too conservative.
