Masters Course Another masterpiece by world class golf course designer, Andy Dye, the award-winning Masters Courses is best known for gracing world class golfers such as Ernie Els, Colin Montgomerie, Nick Dougherty and Vijay Singh at the European Tour’s Singapore Masters from 2002 through 2007.
Ranked amongst the top courses in the world by Golf Digest International and Asian Golf Monthly, the Masters course is characterized by a beautiful parkland landscape while it administers a stern test of golf.
The centrepiece of Laguna National Golf & Country Club, The Masters Course remains one of the regions’ most celebrated golf courses. It has served as the site of multiple golf championships from the European, Asian and KLPGA Tours. From 2002-07 it hosted the Singapore Masters of the European Tour.
The Masters Course is best known for its fast, true Bermuda grass greens, which are some of the most consistent and challenging in the region. The greens are approached on immaculately manicured parkland style fairways meandering effortlessly amongst the decades old massive raintrees and many beautiful lakes that define the property.
In August of 2017, the restoration of the natural and strategic characteristics of every fairway and tee deck was completed. The project included the removal of about 35 hectares of decades old turf and the establishment of all new Platinum Paspalum grass on all fairways and tees. Additionally, every fairway saw the installation of new drainage and sand-capping vastly improving conditioning and playability. The final step of the renovation saw the careful re-establishment of original putting green contours, the tactical addition of bunkers and creation of more considered shot options around many green sites.
The Masters Course plays at 7109 yards from the Championship tees with a par of 72 and is rated 74.2/145.
