Marina Bay Golf Course opened in November 2006, Marina Bay Golf Course is Singapore’s first and only 18-hole public golf course. With its proximity to the city, Marina Bay Golf Course offers great accessibility to all golfers who also get to enjoy the beautiful cityscape, be it day or night.
The 6493m, par-72 course, designed by Phil Jacobs, is one of the very few outstanding links-styled golf courses that you can find in Asia. The signature holes of the quality course include the 651-meter par-6 4th hole and the par-3 13th, complete with island green design.
Marina Bay Golf Course has won numerous accolades, including Singapore’s Best Golf Course in the World Golf Awards, and Best Value for Money Experience in Asia Pacific and Best Public Golf Course in Asia Pacific awards in the Asian Golf Awards.
The latest addition to the award-winning course is the Marina Bay Putting Course, a par-24, 6-hole putting course which features a unique design and 211m of natural grass putting surface. Marina Bay Golf Course is owned by NCI Golf Pte Ltd.
Singapore, 25 May 2018 – Come 1 June, golfers at Marina Bay Golf Course can look forward to a whole new level of fun and thrill when they cruise the fairways on golf scooters.
Fitted with wide and turf-friendly tyres, the lightweight two-wheeler known as Fat Tire Golf Scooter, is easy to ride on and off cart paths. Each golf scooter allows a single rider to be seated comfortably and comes with a rear bag holder, cooler bag and fixtures for other golf accessories.
The battery-operated scooter injects more fun and enjoyment to the game since less waiting time is required for a golfer to get to his ball and more focus can be placed on improving the game. The golf scooter option is made readily available for the individual golfer in a 3 or even 5-ball flight at the 18-hole public golf course. All golfers in a flight can request for golf scooters too.
“As more people are receptive to the use of scooters and e-bikes for commuting these days, we find it timely to bring in scooters to the golf course. We aim to be at the forefront of the latest innovations in the golf industry. The mobility and convenience the golf scooters bring will greatly enhance the experience of golfers playing at Marina Bay Golf Course,” said Mr Ng Ser Miang, Chairman of NCI Golf.
The new batch of eight golf scooters are decked in white, red and blue to complement the existing fleet of twin-sharing golf carts. As part of the introductory offer, there is no additional charge for golfers who choose to use the golf scooter instead of a golf cart for play.
NCI Golf is the exclusive distributor of Fat Tire Golf Scooters for the Asia Pacific region. These golf scooters are currently used for play in golf courses in the United States. Marina Bay Golf Course is the first golf course in this region to roll out the golf scooters for play by members of the public.
